interdev_programming thread: RE: Problem with Interdev and having a default home directory out

As PWS can only have one site, it is not possible to create applications
outside the wwwroot folder. However, the wwwroot folder can be on any drive
you want - you need to re-install PWS, and enter the correct path when it
asks you where you want to store content

Subject: Problem with Interdev and having a default home directory
outside of your boot partition

Hi, I am starting to learn VI6 and I have a problem. On my personal web
server (I'm using Win2K) the default home page is on N:\intepub\wwwroot
where N: is my boot partition. Since I believe in separation of my
operating system from applications and data, in PWS I change the location
of my home page to some other directory, say G:\inetpub\wwwroot. All is
fine in PWS but in VI6 when I start a new project and specify local
machine it says that it cannot connect to this directory...but if I change
it back to N:\inetpub\wwwroot it connects fine. Can someone tell me
what's going on?
