No its not cutting and pasting.

I have an already written application consisting of about 60 asp files.

I added these files from the menu Project: Add Item: Existing:

I belive I tried both adding file by file and then tried adding the whole
folder.

Each time it changed the code in just about all my files.

How do I stop it.
