Hi There,
And thank you for your reply. I think I need to explain alittle better
what I want to achieve.
I have an application which I want to copy into 3 different
directories. The reason for this, although the application is basically
the same, there are 3 versions of it.To have as one application that
covers all 3 versions, is simply too messy.Hence, the reason for 3
different versions.
I want to prevent each version from seeing each other because of the
session vars etc.
I guess I don't know whither I need to create a virtual directory for
each, on both the developement and production server or just create
folders ??
I do know that with a vitural directory the server extensions must be
loaded on each vitural directory. I may be wrong, but I thought the
purpose of a vitural directory was to allow/create a child-web site that
would revolve in it's own little world, seperate from any other website
located on the server. And that the directory would create the boundaries
of the application residing in that folder. And setting permissions and
security would follow suit etc.
Then too, I want to be able to upload my image folders, ado folder etc
into each directory,so I don't have go and change bunches and bunches
include statements on the forms etc.
Am I all wet ?? Have I missed something here ??
I ready admit I am confused at what I need to do,but I do know what I
want as the end result.
Any help would be greatly appericated.
Again, thank you so much for responding,
