Thanks Jim. Yes it is often the obvious, however in this case there are no 
error messages. Also I have set up a system DSN to my data and connected 
to the database using good old hand typed Server.Create script with much 
success. At least this tells me my Web server is not at fault!

Anyone else had this problem?
