I had the same problem last week and here's how I solved it. Go to
Administrative Tools, select Server Extensions Administrator, then right
click on your server. There should be an option to re-load the Front Page
Server Extensions. There may also be an option to check the server
extensions. Go ahead and either reload or do the check.
I was amazed that it actually took care of the problem. You might also go
out to the Microsoft site and download the most current Front Page Server
Extensions.
