Thanks for the reply('s).

The program *Microsoft Frontpage* is different to *FrontPage Extensions*.
VI needs Frontpage Extensions installed on the server for you to be able to
connect.

Microsoft Frontpage allows you to connect / upload files using FTP similar
to using a program such as CuteFTP.

The answer to, " Do you support frontpage extensions ", was no but you can
use frontpage to upload your projects. I can connect to the site using
cuteftp, but when I use VI it gives me the, "invalid server" error. Is it
because they don't support frontpage extensions?
Andrew Haslett wrote: The hosts don't have much
idea if they said that. Ask them again if they
support frontpage *extensions* or Visual Interdev and see if they give you
an answer.

To my knowledge, VI doesn't allow protocol information to be entered such as
ftp or http in the 'server URL' dialog box. You can usually enter the full
virtual URL of the site such as www.domainname.com (as long as it has been
registered and delegated - may take a few days if you've just done it),
however some hosts will require you to use the actual URL which may take the
form: 'youdomaincom.hostdomain.com' or the like.

HTH,

Andrew
