Hi, Steve. I've came across the same problem as Helena, could you please
send me the .EXE files?

Thanks.

> Hi,
Don't know if you have solved your problem yet or not but here goes.
I had the same problem when I started using VID 6.0 to the point I had to
contact Microsoft.
First I'll assume that Windows2000 is a pro version because IIS does not
run
on ME or even XP home versions.
If you have already gone to control panel-add remove programs-add remove
components and configured IIS good, If not need to do this.
You must also install front page extensions on your system also or typing
in
localhost will produce an error.
If you need it you can contact me e-mail and I can send you the .EXE file
to
install front page extensions.

Subject: [interdev_programming] urgent! Guru help me with Interdev

I am reading the book 'Beginning E-commerce with VB, ASP, SQL Server and
MTS'. I use Windows2000, iis5.0, interdev6.0.
According to the book, I do not need to install NT 4.0 option pack(because
of Windows2000). But each time when I want to begin a new project using
Interdev, it can not connect to my local server no matter I use localhost
or my computer name. But strangely, when my computer connect to a LAN and
I provide it the LAN web server, it connects fine.
Also, I can visit html page from IE with http://mycomputer-name/file.html.
But I can not visit a asp page (The page can not be displayed).
Do I need to install other options like Frontpage extension, MTS?
Thanks.
