Without seeing the code, it's hard to say.

But, i do web development for IE5.5 and greater and have, thus far, 
encountered little difference between how my pages look in one version and 
the other -- very, very little.  So, i'd be interested in seeing the code 
to understand what might be causing such a fundamental difference in how 
your page is rendered between the two versions.
