Dear,

Win2K needs more ram than NT4 while JVM is very ram demanding and so do
weblogic. So, may be your Win2K server do need more rams to get better
performance

Should you have any questions, please let me know

Subject: [j2ee] Weblogic and Windows2000

Hi all,

This is a general query regarding Weblogic Server 5.1 on Windows 2000. Up
to now, we have been using Weblogic Server 5.1 on NT4 (sp4), with little or
no real hassles performance wise. We recently purchased a new greatly
souped up development server, and had Windows 2000 installed on it. We
have found that the performance on this new machine is not that much better
than a small workstation (where we ran Weblogic before) running NT4. It is
good for single user mode, but as the day wears on, the performance goes
down with it.

Now, I have gone searching the BEA website for any mention of issues
regarding Weblogic and Windows 2000, but nothing comes up.

My question is this: Are any of you running Weblogic Server 5.1 on Windows
2000, and if so, are you experiencing any performance problems with this
configuration? If you are not happy with performance or are very happy
with performance and have some ideas as to how to improve on performance
with this configuration, please let me know.

Many thanks and regards
