j2ee thread: J2EE starter ... !!!
j2ee is java for the enterprise. what that means to most people is java on
the server. It includes JSP and servlets and other web technology but also
CORBA, XML technologies in java -- an important one, RMI, JDBC, EJBs, JNDI,
and some others. you can either learn those separately or as a whole in a
j2ee book. the pro java server programming j2ee book is my favorite and one
of the reasons i work in java, although since i work for wrox i am somewhat
biased. otherwise start my doing the java tutorials on j2ee which should
give you a flavor for whats possible and how much you want to continue to
learn in this area.
most of the best java jobs are in j2ee so have fun with it. oh and i hope
you have a fast connectoin to the internet, get used to downloading stuff.

Subject: [j2ee] J2EE starter ... !!!
Hi !
I'm a beginner at J2EE. The formost thing that comes
to my mind while learning this is:
- What exactly is J2EE ?
- Where is it used ?
- What is the best way in which one can equip onself
with this technology, i.e., reference books etc. ?
- How do I start ? I already have learned Java 2
language & am a certified Java Programmer.
If any of you can help me with the answers I would be
really thankful appreciative of his/her effort.
Thanking you once again & requesting you to help me.
Regards,
Amit Dhand.
