I found out that some programs were fussy about the way you 
spelled out
the
file names and directories on non-Win2000/XP systems. 

You may want to examine the j2ee.bat file, find all file nam
es and
directories
and re-write them to fit the MS-DOS 8.3 filename format.  Yo
u may need
to open
up a DOS window to see what your filenames and directories l
ook like
under
this format.  The "My Documents" directory would be listed a
s "MYDOCU~1"
if
you executed the DIR command.  Don't forget to make a backup
 copy of the
setenv and j2ee.bat files!
