javascript thread: A problem with two pages.........
Hi,
The problem you describe in this post seems entirely a cleint-side one.
Given that you posted it on "ASP How To", and ASP occurs on the server
side, you probably won't have got much help on an ASP list. So, I've
transferred the message onto this Javascript list and subscribed you to the
list. I hope you don't mind.
As for the specific problem, I don't think there's any way to close
a browser window automatically. You can open one automatically, but the
functionality to close a browser window (and, thus, an instance of the
browser itself) simply hasn't been coded-in because of the ways in which it
could be abused by malicious sites.
As for the rest of the problem, there any reason why you don't want
to turn the one page into a form, and POST your value across, using the
other page as your ACTION?
