javascript thread: javascript ........
Java would be the obvious thing... syntactically similar to javascript,
platform independent, widely used, but not easy like ASP (you can write ASPs
with javascript anyway, just learn the object model)

I suppose server-side language like ASP is next step?
Other options are to go towards Apache and learn some server languages
such as PHP or PERL (PHP is same concept as ASP but syntax is like C, and
so like javascript, PERL is just PERL - what more can I say?).
As Robert says, depends why you want to learn more...
