My apologies, I wasn't being entirely clear here.  The issue is that our
Lyris server doesn't do anything in terms of interpreting mail.  What we
have added recently is a de-MIME facility which takes out a lot of the MIME
information that used to clog up the archive as a result.  The problem you
see with qp characters existed before this facility was installed, and is
only really evident if you are using the web interface, which is something
we could improve as soon as we get the time.  Viewing the lists using a
newsreader or as mail should present a better result, though sometimes mail
arrives already corrupted in this way.
