I know, but still, that might be the way Paul uses it...
But I guess it's up to Paul to use it with sense.

If that's for intranet, this could be done through login script (take a
look at Windows Scripting Host if it's for Windows).  Or even better,
computer administrator installs beforehand whatever software is
necessary (in case they've got a heterogenous network composing of
Windows, Macintosh and Linux).

For example, I'm making an intranet web application for companies and it
requires Java plugin.  I just tell their computer department staffs what
to install first (even though it's possible to install through web, but
the plug-in is only for Windows) and it's up to them what strategy they
have to adopt to accomplish this.  It's their job !

To Hovik, don't worry, I'm not hurt :)
