I don't know about the differences about the books, but you should keep
in mind
that this isn't a recommended scenario out on the Internet.

As far as I see it, this is only useful in an Intranet environment where
you can tell the users
to have their security settings to low, otherwise they will get a
warning dialog everytime.

  This is very helpful because my O'Reilly JavaScript book says this
can't be done. Does anyone have the Wrox book? If it explains about
using ActiveX in javascript I'm throwing my O'Reilly book away and
getting that one.

hi fallows
i want to creat a form in html and when user enter the form details the
values should be stored in a textfile. Anybody knows how to use
Scripting.FileSystemObject in javascript.
Also a website dont allow me to place my db. so i want that when a user
submit form its data will be saved in some file.
