I need to force the download of an anchor regardless of whether the mime 
type is supported by the browser or not.

For example, normally if you click an html link, it loads in the browser. 
I need a way to make the link treat it like a file the browser doesn't 
support, and have a "Save" window appear instead. 

(Just like when you use a contextual menu to "Save Target/Link As")

Any suggestions for using Netscape 6.01 and IE 5.5 windows and mac to do 
this?
