Subject: [javascript_howto] how to grey out input fields in a form on
chkbx click?

  Hi,

Can someone let me know whether there is a way to grey-out a text
input field on a form when a checkbox is checked?

I have managed to disable their use by doing
'document.myform.mytext.disable=3Dtrue' but I would like to know if it
is possible to give the text field a different shade when it is
disabled.

  thanks
  Jim
