Any libraries encapsulating this functionality? Sure, one can read and write
http requests but Sean raises an interesting question. Those coming from the
ColdFusion world have a single mechanism called CFHTTP that can do what he's
asking, and in the ASP world there's an equivalent called ASPTear (as in
tearing off a page from the web). I wonder if that's what he was looking
for, some equivalent in Java. I'd be interested, myself.

I have done something very simular to this. Java certainly can handle the
intricacies of the matter. You will need to have someone that understands
