Hi,

    I have a question about the scalability of an internet application. The
application runs on an application server that features scalability - both
horizontal and vertical. Does this mean that the application itself can rely
totally on the application server for its scalability? Is it right to say
that since the application server already handles the scalability issue, the
developers for the application do not need to handle it when designing the
application?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.
