1. Gaps are OK providing the string is in quotes eg
set ANT_HOME="C:\Program Files\Apache Group\jakarta-tomcat"
set TOMCAT_HOME="C:\Program Files\Apache Group\jakarta-tomcat"
2. I have call and start in my startup.bat under windows 98. The line
that starts it up in startup.bat is
call %TOMCAT_HOME%\bin\tomcat start %1 %2 %3 ...etc
This works fine.
