It should be possible by sending an html-mail and having a link like <a 
href=3D"javascript:window.open(url, windowname, features)">mylink</a>

Check some javascript doc for details about the features of created 
windows.

It's not really elegant though, many users still don't read html 
mails... maybe let them choose the one they want to receive OR send a 
multiformat mail
