The requirement is like this.When the user of my site presses a button 
saying "SCAN NOW",in my .jsp page,if there is scanner installed with the 
users m/c and a picture is there to scan in the scanner,the scanning would 
take place and the photo will be uploaded .
   Its a sort of web based scanning software that i have to develop.I 
understand that i have to use Active-X control on the client side for that 
and the page would only run on IE and not on netscape IF I AM USING 
ASP.But i am using JAVA.So i could not get a lead to start with .I need to 
know how to achieve this functionality??
   Can anybody help me out in this regard.
