Hello,
At Wrox, we always strive to produce high quality books that will meet your
needs as a professional Java developer. In order to help us do this, I
would like to ask for a few minutes of your time.
Initially we're interested in building a better picture of who you are, and
what you need out of our books, so we've compiled a short questionnaire
that we hope you'll consider completing and returning to us. Feel free to
provide as much or as little detail as you like. Hopefully, it should take
no more than 5 mins.
Also, we're looking for some people to join a private p2p list as an
opportunity for you to provide us with more direct input on what you'd like
to see us publish, and to discuss some of our upcoming book ideas.
Rather than post your replies to this list, please reply to me here at Wrox
directly: mailto:craigb@w...?subject=p2p_pro_jsp_profile
Thanks for your input
Here's the questions:
1. Which Wrox books do you own?
2. What's your job title and briefly what does your job entail?
3. Can you briefly describe the environment you work in? i.e. what kind of
company (software co, IT consulting co, other corp), size of your team etc.
4. If you are able, can you give a rough overview of the types of projects
you have worked on over the last 6 months and the technologies involved
5. How long have you been working with i) Java and ii) JSP?
6. What APIs/technologies do you spend the most time working with?
7. What certification (if any) do you possess or intend to get?
8. What products - both commercial and open source - do you use often? e.g.
Tomcat/WebLogic/Ant etc.
9. Can you describe how much community involvement you have? i.e. do you
read/post to mailing lists often? What websites do you visit regularly?
10. What do you intend to learn in the next 12 months?
