Lily,
Can you refer me to any good information on integrating Tomcat 4.0.x &
IIS=20
5+?
Thank you
Tom
> Martyn,
I set up an Internet site, which has to support both ASP and JSP. So I
used IIS and Tomcat together.
I think it is OK with Intranet and Tomcat alone. You also can try IIS
and Tomcat together, which gives you more flexibility than Tomcat alone.
Just my two cents.

Thanks Lily,
So, if I'm just developing a local Intranet I wouldn't need IIS, I
could do all of this with Tomcat? Is this correct?

IIS is just a web server. Tomcat is a container for JSP, which can
translate the JSP code to Java.
By integrating these two you can publish your Jsp page on the web not on
your localhost without webserver.
Hope it can help.

Sorry, I'm being a bit thick here, but why would you want to integrate
Tomcat to IIS? What would IIS give you that Tomcat on its own couldn't?
Sorry for being dumb!

You also can use Tomcat with IIS.

You're correct but
you can use some JSP/Servlet-engines, like for instance JRun, as a
plug-in to IIS
