Why would you expect myselect to have a value?  Where would it get it from?
On this part of the code:

> <?php
> // this part shows no values of any kind and in the url myselect=  , is
> blank
> echo ("This is the result: $id . $myisd . $myselect . ");
> ?>

myselect won't get a value until the form is submitted.
