pro_php thread: OT: Delphi/Kylix

Message #1 by "Adam Lang" <aalang@r...> on Wed, 11 Jul 2001 16:51:03 -0400
Maximum linux was discontinued several months ago.

Maximumlinux.org is just a "news" site that a bunch of ex readers set up. I
never read maximum linux. A friend of mine hosts and rusn the site, so I
post an occassional commentary on there to generate traffic. Woody Hughes,
ex editor in chief of maximumlinux reads a lot there and also posts an
occassional article.

Currently he is the only guy to get more hits than I do for articles. ;)

Honestly enough though, Delphi 6 looked VERY nice. I'm talking to Delphi to
see if they have a pckage deal on gettign a discount if you purchase Kylix
Server and Delphi professional. I was SO impressed with Delphi 6 and Kylix,
I am considering switching to it from VB for a time and see.

I jsut want those damned webservices for Kylix. ;) Maybe it can be faked
by using Apche Xerces (which is their SOAP server) and Kylix to build Apache
Modules.

If anythign, at least talk to Borland and get a demo of Dlphi 6 and see what
you think. I'm sure there is going to be a big jump going from 3 to 6.
