i am finishing reading the beginning php4 book and have just set up 
sample_db and have added the content via the insert sql's that come with 
the book.

i am able to connect to my server/mysql database via another machine on 
the network. i can display the url_directory home page also. however when 
i try to click on a link (e.g. applications) i just keep getting the home 
page again and again instead of going down a level!

i have noticed mt title bar says this: http://supportsrv:2002/r%20&%
20d/new%20intranet/php_directory.php?action=show_list&%20%20%20%20%20%20%
20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%
20%20%20%20category_id=003

why all the % signs? why is it not working properly please. any ideas?
