I would like to create a three tier application in which the middle tier 
consists of application-specific and organizational classes implemented in 
VB.NET and the web user interface tier is implemented using PHP.  Is it 
possible for PHP and VB.NET to communicate?  How and how flexibly?  (I 
work for a small educational research institute.  I prefer using VB.NET; 
the other software developer favors PHP.)
