Does anyone know where I can get some good TAPI info or the name of a good 
book on the subject, or even is there a company with a custom control thats 
easy to use.

It is for a call centre application where the telephony equipment transmits 
the incomming phone number over the network. I hve to pick this up and have 
a pop up with the numbers in.
