Yes, you'll need to install Oracle client components on the application
machine in order to access a remote Oracle database.

Subject: RE: Location of database drivers
Hello, the book I am referring to is Visual Basic Business Objects.
I am specifically creating a Visual Basic/Oracle system, and need to find
out if Net 8 would be required on the client machines if I do my database
reading and writing from the Application Server.
Thanks again,
David Bradley
