I am not sure why this would preclude access as tables can be filled or
made on the fly (either through the Acces referense or through ADO using
SQL commands).  However, I am not sure what you are trying to do so you
may be right that access doen't fit.  Generally though, anything that
can be done in excel can be done in access (though access usually
requires more work).
