With the information you have there
it's very difficult to see what
your problems is.  Error
'80040e21' may mean to be something
other than what you hypothesize.

Can you put some breakpoints in your
code and rerun it to see exactly 
what line of code is hanging or giving
you the error, then mail the newsgroup
again?
