pro_vb thread: Differences between editions

Hello Nun Seco,

there's really a lot difference between the three mentioned editions. The
Learning Edition is for learning purpose only. You can't make exe files
with this edition, so DON'T buy it.
The Professional Edition is quite good, and for many purposes it would be
the best choose, especially if you don't want to pay too much.
I have the Enterprise Edition myself, and I can tell you, it's the only
one I would ever use (I didn't pay for it myself, the company did, though,
otherwise I would not have chosen this edition). If you are about to use
ADO it's just nothing less than perfect.
With the Enterprise Edition you can make EXE, DLL, and OCX files, and if
you want to deal with web programming through VB, it's the only edition to
choose. With E.P. you can make a web application, using your skills as a
VB programmer, and you don't have especially much knowledge about common
web programming (CGI programming).

I will recommend you to buy the Enterprise Edition if you don't have to
pay for it yourself or if you are going to develop advanced applications.
You'll never regret it. :)

Sincerely Yoel Pedersen
