Hi there,
I have asked a similar question a couple of days ago, but since I was a bit
long winded there, I did not get a response yet. This time, I'll try to
stick to the basics to get my question through.
I am designing a CD Rom product catalog in HTML that needs to be updatable
through the internet. The update should be durable: that is, the HTML files
must be saved to disk.
My questions now are:
1. Did somebody ever do something like this before? How did you do it? What
tools / concepts did you use?
2. How can I distinquish between files on the CD-Rom and on the hard disk
(the newer files)?
3. Can I use a normal browser, or should we design our own application that
uses the VB Webbrowser control?
I really hope that someone has any experience with this, because this is
all very new for me and my company.
Any response, ideas, no matter how weird or small they may seem, are more
than welcome.
The long story of this question is available on this list under the title:
CD-Rom update with VB App (Long)
Thanks in advance,
Imar
