I think what you need is code to handle a skip to the next record (the
new
one). A carrige return will only format the field to two lines, not
skip to
next record.

I have a simple one field form in Access. It will be fed with an input
from
a barcode scanner. Each time a 12 digit code is scanned, the operator
wants
the form to move to the next record to be ready for the next scan. In
another word, they don't want to hit the enter key after each scan.
I did manage to check the length of the text in the Change event. When
the
length reached 12 an if kicks in. But the return won't take place.
