Instead of using the standard templates of normal.dot
and personal.xls rename them to something else.
Examples are mymacros.dot and mymacros.xlt.
Putting these files in the autostart directory
of MS Word and MS Excel will automatically run these
templates everytime documents are opened in Word
and Excel.
This directory is different depending on version of
word/excel and individual setup preferences. To
find out what this directory is go to Options->FileLocations
in each of the apps.
Using a separate file allows for easier update
and removal (if necessary) of the macros if there
is a problem.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [pro_vb] Installing Macro modules during install
Hi,
I have an application that can be called via macros in Word and Excel.
These macros go in the standard templates (normal.dot and personal.xls)
so that they can be called from any document the user may open. Is there
a way to import these macro modules and toolbar buttons into the Word
and Excel templates during the Setup process?
Thanks,
Jordan
