The one problem with loading CDO with Outlook (or the full office) is
that in 2000 (maybe other versions as well, I don't know) you must
specify CDO during the install. It does not install by default.

Rita,
CDO is not IIS based, although it is generally used with ASP
applications running on IIS. From the documentation that I've read so
far, there are two ways to install CDO on a machine.
1) Win 95/98/NT: Install Outlook 98 or later
2) Win NT: Install Exchange Client 5.5 or later
Hopefully all your users have Outlook 98. If you don't have this, then
I would stick to the option of having a hidden form doing the email.
Of course using MAPI is dependant upon the fact that the email client
on the machine that is running is configured. Since this is an error
routine make sure you include some way of bombing out of the error
routine just in case the machine doesn't have email installed or
configured.
Hope this helps,
Cardyin
