i am trying to open connections in shared mode whereby i can deny some 
permissions to users.  i tried using adModeShareDenyWrite as the 
connection mode, but i am not able to add records when i do this.  pls 
help me out on the functioning of these constants and how they work and 
what implies what.  i looked up their references on the msdn cd's and 
tried them according to their explanations, but still with no good 
results.

an early response would be appreciated.
