I'm not sure that I understand what you want with Beta 1. With the large
amount of changes from Beta1 to Beta2, it would seem to be an unwise move to
even use Beta1 as a training tool. At this point you can be sure that
anything in Beta1 that is not applicable in Beta2 will not be applicable to
the live version. I would suggest going to Beta2.

Looks like you are luckier than me. I ordered Beta 1 CDs from Microsoft in
January 2001. The CD2 seems to be a bad one. Usually CDs are opaque,
right? This CD I got from Microsoft is transparent. I still tried to read
it. But the CD drive refuses to recognise it as a CD. This is the first
time I am seeing a CD that is transparent.
Now I donot know how to get it replaced. Microsoft website no longer
offers Beta 1 software even for download.
Is there something you can help me ?
