It probally is a dvd.

Look for the logo.

In January 2001 I ordered the Beta 1 CDs for the VS.NET. I received 5
CDs, 
3 of them meant for the actual software. CD 1, CD 2 and the Windows 
Component Update CD. While all the CDs look opaque (which is normal),
the 
CD2 is transparent. My CD drive refuses to even recognise it as a CD.

When I put this CD, as a part of the regular installation (when it asks 
for it) OR even if I want to just explore what is on the CD, using
WIndows 
explorer, the CD drive refuses to recognize as a CD!

And now the Microsoft website no longer has Beta 1 software, for
download 
or ordering them on the mail. And Beta 2 is so costly, as you are aware,

it comes only with MSDN subscription.

I want some help. If any body has the CD 2 of the Beta 1, can you please

send it to me, or make the s/w available for download for me please ? Or

any other suggestions are most welcome.
