pro_vb thread: Error performing inpage operation

Message #1 by Greg Partin <GPartin@c...> on Wed, 26 Sep 2001 11:00:36 -0400
Just in case nobody bothered to respond because they were baffled, I have
determined the following: The cd seems like it did not have enough space on
it. I was putting about 695 meg on a 700 meg cd. I deleted some of the
files that I was putting on the cd (down to about 680 meg) and the xcopy
worked fine.

Subject: [pro_vb] Error performing inpage operation

Hi folks,

I have burned a cd with a bunch of files and a setup app that I wrote in VB.
The VB app uses xcopy to copy the files from the cd to the hard drive. It
will copy all files from the root directory but once it gets into the first
subfolder I get the message: "Error performing inpage operation" I checked
on MS to see what they had to say but it wasn't much. They say if you're
copying from one disk to the other it is probably the media, but I've burned
3 copies so far and none of them have worked. I was just wondering if
anyone had any knowledge of this or any other suggestions.

Thank you and much obliged,

Greg
