pro_vb thread: Version incompatibility fears!

Message #1 by Sudhir <skwrox@y...> on Wed, 28 Nov 2001 07:49:52 -0800 (PST)
In most cases, programs will work if application
standards were followed. If the programmer chose to
do obscure calls to little used API's in their
program, then they run the risk of having
problems in the future.

Upgrading software is a fact of life and will
eventually be required sometime in the future.
The best we can do is try to minimize the
risk of failure in the future.

Ok. Thanks, Cardyin. Atleast that saves me from
getting the client mad at me.

Well, isn't there any solution to this kind of a
situation? I can immagine such a situation ocurring
quite easily in everyday life! Or do I have to write
this new app in Java, and put VB aside?
