While we are on the subject, swing over to Ken Slovak's Web site at

and download and install his Outlook 2002 Attachment Options utility.
(It's a utility you use to tell Outlook 2002 to keep its mitts off files
that are sent to you as attachments to email messages.)

Subject: [pro_vb] Mapi with Outlook XP
Hi Everybody
I'm sending emails from my VB application using the mapi controls,
it's working fine with outlook 2000, when i installed the XP version,
everytime i try to send an email, i get a security message:
"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have
stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected,
it may be a virus and you should choose No."
Anybody knows of any way to suppress this?
I don't want my user to have to deal with this all the time, knowing
that
sometimes there would be a list of 50 emails to send by once.
Thanks in advance
Michel Medawar.
