Developers edition of Crystal 8.5 was shipped with Crystal enterprise. This is a web based front end
system. The professional version of this product comes with a heavy price but it manages user access to reports in the enterprise
database. It is really easy to deploy reports even with data entry variables. 

With the standard version of Crystal 8.5 there are files which can walk you through setting up your own web based reporting folders
to customize reports and applications. This might be a route to go instead of writing a table driven report.
