Hi guys
I've written an app in VB utilizing the SQLDMO.dll for sql7. when this is
compiled and packaged by the wonderful Package & Destroy Wizard and
installed on a similar OS (ie if built and installed on win2k or if built
and installed on XP Pro) then it installs fine, when I install a copy on
win 2000 thats be built on XP Pro, it starts the installation and
says "your files are out of date updating....(1 of 2)". Then I need to
reboot to update the OS then start the installation program again (and in
normal circustances it would then complete the installation) all that
happens now is it goes round in circles updating these files and asking
to reboot. Whats stopping it from installing properly.
I don't think its file permissions as I'm using Administrator rights.
