Do you mean that the combo container is the flexGrid?
Is there any reason to do it? I use both text and combo
boxes to build in-edit capability for flex grid, and I
never change their container (just set the ZOrder to
be sure that they are visible). I did not even know
that the flex grid could act as a container, as a 
matter of fact...
