Is there anyone here who switched to dot Net and wished they had not ?

In the long run any microsoft shop will switch to dot net, but do you 
wish you had waited ?  For example, is the current release so buggy
that you wish you had waited for the next release, or is the learning
curve so great that you wish you had waited for there to be more
experienced dot net programmers in the market rather than learning it
from scratch yourself ?

I think this is my last dot net question before we take the plunge,
buy it and start learning it ourselves.
