Have you guys checked out Source Off-Site? It turns VSS into a proper
client-server setup, usable over the internet, and has a much better
programmable object model. There used to be a link to it from Microsoft's
website (really!), if you just looked up VSS - basically, MS were saying
that there product was pretty mediocre, and if you need it to work properly,
and not crash and lose all your code, you'd better go get Source Off-Site.
Anyway, I've done a bit of programming against both of them, and coding to
VSS is just too crappy.
