security_asp thread: Disable Printing?

it's really a question how difficult you want to make it - given enough
activeX (yes i can see a few people looking at me in anger). However I doubt
there's a serious way to prevent people from printing. The developers of
e-books have thrown lot's of development hours at it - only to find the
first e-Stephen King cracked just hours after the release. If you just want
to kill the obvious, create a non-printable pdf acrobat at least gives you
some security there.

Cheers.

Subject: Disable Printing?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to disable the print functions in IE5?
I don't want to tie down IE5 itself but just make it impossible to print
certain pages containing sensitive data. I'm not too hopeful that this is
possible. It is possible in Lotus Notes and if it is impossible in a
browser then it's another notes project and not a web one.
